Nuclear Engineering: Finding Books

  Finding Books

Finding Books at the Georgia Tech Library is fairly simple.  The GT Library Catalog can be used to find the books we have access to.  We also have collections of engineering reference books in electronic format.  Search these collections for portions of these reference books that may be relevant to a particular topic.  Links to these collections are listed below.

Borrowing & Requesting Books and Photocopies of Articles from Other Libraries. Books on Course Reserves. Recalls

  • Borrowing & Requesting from Other Libraries
    • ILLiad Interlibrary Loan System. Photocopies of articles and book loans from other libraries. Service is available to currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff.
    • GIL Express. NOTE: Due to its migration to a new library management system, on December 1, 2015 the Georgia Tech Library suspended the GIL Express direct-requesting service. Instead, all requests from University System of Georgia libraries will go through Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad); this change will remain in place until 2017.
  • Course Reserves.  Professors can place books (textbooks, recommended readings etc.) and other materials on Course Reserves, to make them available to all students in their classes.
  • Recalls. If the book you need is already checked-out, you can click on "Request" in the Library Catalog record and fill out an ILLiad book request form. You also have the option of requesting that the book be recalled by contacting the Library Services Desk (1st floor west, 404-894-4530).
