We are happy to provide the GT community with a variety of equipment and accessories for both scholarly and leisure needs.
All items are available for checkout at the Library Store (1st floor west, across from security) and loan periods vary from 4 hours to 2 days, depending on the item, unless noted otherwise. Please be advised that high demand items, such as camcorders and cameras, may be subject to wait lists.
You may submit requests online through the "Request a Gadget" button, under the resources tab, below.
You may also contact the Library Store directly @ 404.894.4500.
Please place any online request at least 48 hours in advance of when the item is needed.
Due to high demand and limited supply, certain devices (DSLR cameras, camcorders, projectors, & Go Pros) may not always be available. Submission of a request does not guarantee availability.
Please be advised that, during periods of high demand, requests may be added to a waiting list. Wait list status does not guarantee equipment availability.
Reserving Equipment for Class Use:
Cameras, Camcorders, and Laptops tend to be utilized heavily by students throughout the semester. We will make every effort to accommodate requests, as needed, but we appreciate attempts to plan ahead.
To discuss the logistics of your project & our ability to meet these demands, please email us @ the address listed below:
Unless otherwise noted, all items are 4 hour, or two day, out of building checkouts (Due to high demand and limited supply, laptops are only available on a first come, first served basis. Laptops circulate for 4 hours at a time). Renewals are often allowed, but they are predicated on availability. You must check with Access Services for any equipment renewal.
Overdue fines for equipment may be assessed at a rate of $1.00 per hour for any items with a 4 hour loan period (during finals, midterms, or other periods of high demand).
Camcorders, Cameras, iPads, & Kindles are not subject to the hourly overdue rates. Overdue fines for these items are assessed at $5.00 per day.
Items are inspected upon checkout and return. An item is expected to be returned in the same condition it was loaned in. All missing items must be paid for at the time of return. Any lost, stolen or damaged equipment must be paid for at the Library Services Desk.
Rates are quoted based on the price paid for the item, though the Access Services Department reserves the discretion to modify these rates. Replacement of equipment will also be subject to a $20.00 processing fee.
