5 Things You Should Know about the GT Library

1. Subject Librarians

Each school/department has a subject librarian who is your main contact for research help, personal consultations, and for all library-related issues.
 

2.  Library  Workshop Series

A cornucopia of walk-in workshops, designed especially for graduate students, are offered each semester, including hands-on training for multimedia software and other applications (e.g. EndNote; Vantagepoint), and additional walk-in workshops such as doing literature reviews, essential databases, patent searching and much more.
 

3. Enhanced Electronic Access to Research Materials and Scholarly Information

The Library provides electronic access to nearly 30,000 journals, over 90,000 electronic books (including key resources like Springer, Elsevier, Knovel, Wiley, Safari), and all Georgia Tech theses and dissertations.

The Find It @ GT button enables easy access to articles from library databases and Google Scholar.
 

4. Delivery: LENDS, InterLibrary Loan & GIL Express

Journal articles are delivered to your inbox, whether we have them or not (LENDS Service).

Library delivery of books, conference materials, and other resources from libraries around the world (InterLibrary Loan) is available for all graduate students.
 

5. Discipline Specific Article Databases

The GT Library provides access to over 300 bibliographic databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, IEEE Xplore, SciFinder Scholar, and Compendex.
