Finding International News: Home

This is a subordinate guide to the International Affairs guide, and is for resources to find news from and about world countries and regions.

Introduction to Finding International News

The Georgia Tech Library offers two databases that are excellent sources of international news with the full text online.

One is the LexisNexis Academic database, which offers access to over 10,000 sources in news, law, and business.  The news coverage includes deep backfiles and up-to-the-minute stories in national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources. Click on the LexisNexis Academic tab for more information.

The other database is Factiva, a business-oriented database that also has many international news sources.

Finally there are a selection of other news sources, most freely available on the web, on the "other news sources" tab.

News Databases

Below the available databases for current news are listed. For the most part historical newspaper indexes are not listed here.
