Bloomberg Anywhere - fall semester

Fall semester 2020 until end of June 2021 (unsure; end date is at discretion of Bloomberg) --  access available remotely - "Bloomberg Anywhere"

To exit (please do so, in order to let other users access the terminal remotely) - make sure tabs appear at the top right of the screen, then select "Log off and exit"
Note: To utilize the terminal users must have the Citrix Receiver installed on their device.

Bloomberg Terminals on the Tech Campus

NEW -- Access is available remotely to this source for fall semester 2020 and for spring semester 2021.  It will likely end sometime in summer; perhaps end of June 2021. See box above for instructions.

There are several Bloomberg "terminals" on campus, within Colleges and Departments (yet labs likely not yet re-opened, spring 2021).  A terminal is inside the Library - however, fall 2020-summer 2021 - access will instead be remote. Remote access will be available campus-wide.

    Who can use Bloomberg:

current Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students

for academic purposes

You will need to set up a Bloomberg account. A validation code is required; you will need your cellphone with you (a text message with the code will be sent within 1 minute)

Bloomberg Overview

Bloomberg was founded in 1981 as Innovative Market Systems. In 1985, it became Bloomberg Business News.  Per the company's website, Bloomberg "delivers data, news, and analytics through innovative technology, quickly and accurately, to individuals and across enterprises".  It also "provides real-time and historical pricing, indicative data, reporting, research, estimates, analytics, portfolio management tools".  Current company name is Bloomberg L.P.  Source:  Journal of Business Strategy, Sept./Oct. 1995 (p.28); Hoover's Company Profiles.
