The "IPCC" is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. They are to meet at the end of October 2019 to draft the outline of the Synthesis Report for the Sixth Assessment Report.
IPBES - per the UN website, "Often described as the “IPCC for biodiversity”, IPBES is an independent intergovernmental body comprising more than 130 member Governments. Established by Governments in 2012". IPBES is acronym for the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
NOAA served as the administrative lead agency for the preparation of this report. A Federal Steering Committee, composed of representatives from U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) agencies, oversaw the report’s development.
