AIRS - Atmospheric Infrared Sounder
AIRS uses cutting-edge infrared technology to create 3-dimensional maps of air and surface temperature, water vapor, and cloud properties. With 2378 spectral channels, AIRS has a spectral resolution more than 100 times greater than previous IR sounders and provides more accurate information on the vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature and moisture. AIRS can also measure trace greenhouse gases such as ozone, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and methane.
CISL Research Data Archive
The CISL Research Data Archive (RDA) contains a large and diverse collection of meteorological and oceanographic observations, operational and reanalysis model outputs, and remote sensing datasets to support atmospheric and geosciences research, along with ancillary datasets, such as topography/bathymetry, vegetation, and land use.
Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN)
The Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) is a center within the Earth Institute at Columbia University. CIESIN works at the intersection of the social, natural, and information sciences, and specializes in on-line data and information management, spatial data integration and training, and interdisciplinary research related to human interactions in the environment.
Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH)
The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is the UK's Centre of Excellence for integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. CEH hosts the Environmental Information Data Centre, the Natural Environment Research Council data centre for terrestrial and freshwater sciences. This brings together wide-ranging nationally-important datasets and expertise in managing diverse types of environmental data.
Digital Coast (NOAA)
Data for U.S. Coastal regions from several sources including NOAA, USGS, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Census Bureau.
Geoscience Data Repository (Canada)
The Geoscience Data Repository (GDR) is a collection of Earth Sciences Sector geoscience databases that is managed and accessed by a series of Information Services (GDRIS).
GEON (Earth Sciences)
GEON is an open collaborative project that is developing cyberinfrastructure for integration of 3 and 4 dimensional earth science data.
