PUBP 3020 Applied Political Economy: Finding
Books

Finding Books and Articles Not Held by the Georgia Tech Library

For books that are not owned by the Georgia Tech Library, the place to start is the GIL Universal Catalog.  It has the holdings of all the University System of Georgia libraries.  If you find your book there, initiate a GIL Express Request to have the book sent here.  If your book is not in the GIL Universal Catalog either, use the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan System to request the book.

For articles, start with the ILLiad Internlibrary Loan System.

The GT Library subsidizes up to $25 of each ILL request, and very few items will have any charge that you have to pay.

Finding Books

To find the books the Georgia Tech Library owns, search the Library Catalog.  Try a keyword search, then look and see if you can find a Subject Heading for that concept and search it to give you more relevant results.  Sample subject headings are "economics", "international economic relations", "economic development", "global governance", "china economic policy", "russia politics and government".  There is not a subject heading in the Library Catalog for "political economy", but if that term is searched as a keyword there are results.  Below are selected works held in the GT Library:
